The Cayuga hoop is one of two “hoop” styles made for my sister in law’s bridal party this weekend (in Aug, 2024). It is named after the glacially-formed finger lake they got married on in Ithaca, NY.
When Brina asked me to make some earrings for her crew of gals I knew I had to make something new. When I think of her and think of them, I think of classic beauty, joy, laughter, elegance, timelessness… the city gal who is on the go, working by day and getting together with friends as much as time will allow.
I wanted to make earrings for them that could transcend their days, that are as timeless and lovely as they all are.
The Cayuga hoop is a solid sterling silver, mildly chunky, super comfortable, all purpose, elegant hoop. For you to wear today and 30 years from now, from morning into the night.
I hope you enjoy them as much as we all do!
(Reference for photos with two earrings: the Brina Hoop is the triangular hoop in primary earring hole, and the Cayuga Hoop is the round macaroni-like hoop in the secondary earring hole.)
